SOTIRIS DANEZIS |

Sotirios Danezis, born on the island of Samos in 1969, studied Journalism in London. His career as a journalist and news presenter began in private radio stations in 1991. In 1993, he became a reporter and news anchor for Alpha Television. In 2000 he joined the ranks of Mega Television Channel. Today he is a news presenter, commentator for the Foreign Desk and creator of Mega Channel’s news-interest documentary series “War Zone”. As a War Correspondent he has covered the popular revolt in Albania (1997), the NATO bombings and subsequent entrance of the multi-national forces into Kosovo (1999), the operations conducted by the Northern Alliance and US troops against the Taliban in Afghanistan (2001) and the war in Iraq (2003). Through his reports he has covered International events: the protests against the G8 in Genoa (2001), the terrorist attacks against the World Trade Centre (2001) and the disaster caused by the Tsunami in South East Asia (2004). For the needs of Mega Channel’s documentaries he has travelled to some of the “hottest” zones on the planet, to more than 45 countries around the world. From North Korea, Nepal, Vietnam, Cambodia and the Falkland Islands to Rwanda, Somalia, Sierra Leone, Iran, El Salvador and Colombia. |

Born in Athens in 1968. From 1986 to 1989 he studied film directing at the Stavrakos Film School in Athens. From 1991 to 1994 he worked on telefilms and television series as assistant sound man, production assistant and assistant director and from 1995 to 2006 as a director for the major independent networks (Alpha, Alter and Mega). Born in Drama in 1980, she studied History at the University of Thessaloniki and completed the Postgraduate studies in International Relations at Paris 1 University in Sorbonne. She has worked for UNESCO in Paris. She began her career as a journalist at Greece’s ERT3 as well as on the foreign desk of "Macedonia" newspaper in Thessaloniki. In 2005 she joined War Zone’s team of researchers. She speaks English, French and Italian. |

Born in Thessaloniki in 1977, he studied Economics and International Investment at Leeds Metropolitan University and then later earned Postgraduate titles in European Studies from the University of Exeter, Sociology from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow and Political Science from the School of Slavonic and East European Studies in London. As of September 2006 he has been working as a researcher for Mega Channel’s “War Zone” documentary series. He speaks English, French and Spanish. |

Born in Athens in 1981 she earned her degree at the department of Communications and Mass Media at the Pantion University in Athens. Through the Erasmus programme she was given the opportunity to study Philosophy at ULB University in Brussels for 6 months. She has worked at the Frysira Museum of Modern European Painting as well as for Didi Music. As of September 2006 she has been working as a researcher for Mega Channel’s “War Zone” documentary series. Born in Elefsina, Costas studied journalism in Athens. He began working as a freelance journalist and news presenter in radio in 1991. Specialising in international news he has been magazine writing since 1995. He has contributed to among others GK, STATUS, Esquire, Nitro, Ειkones, Big Fish and many more. In September 2007 he joined War Zone’s team of researchers. He speaks English and Italian. |

Born in Perth, Scotland, she studied at South Bank University, London on the Mass Media & Society course, specialising in the relationship between war and the media and the latter’s use for propaganda. She is part of the original group of producers that created "War Zone" in 2003. Today she continues her work as producer from the UK where she resides. |

Born in Athens is 1972, he was educated at Hadjikos School in Athens. Between 1992 and 1994 he worked as a sound technician for Reuters, while from 1994 through to 1997 he began working as a cameraman for Mega Channel’s news department as well as for a number of the network’s productions. From 1997 onwards he has worked as a freelancer collaborating with Greek and International media covering news stories. He has worked with Japanese FUJI TV during the Athens 2004 Olympic Games and SAT1 during the 2006 winter Olympics in Turin. From May 2006 until February 2008 he was part of the "War Zone" team. |

KOSTAS DELDIMOS |

Born in Athens he studied photography at FOCUS. He worked as a photographer from 1985 until 1992 when he began working as a cameraman for Mega Channel. He has worked on all major productions on the network, covering stories like the war in Yogoslavia, the Genoa riots and the Intifada. Kostas Deldimos was War Zone’s main cameraman from 2003 through to 2005. The footage he recorded for Mega’s documentary series was awarded at the 2004 National Television Awards. |

NIKOS MISTRIOTIS |

Born in Ottawa in 1969, he began his studies in Mass Media Production at Carleton University, Canada, completing them with a series of seminars in Canada, Greece and the UK. He has worked with a number of television channels in Greece and Canada. He has worked with networks such as ABC, BBC, CNBC, Euronews, Kuwait TV, NIPPON TV. In 2005 he began collaborating with the Associated Press as a television producer and cameraman. He has also worked on a number of documentaries focusing on Kosovo, Palestine, Albania and Turkey. In 2005 he joined the ranks of "War Zone" and has recorded images for the needs of seven Mega Channel’s documentaries. |

He was born in Athens. He studied at the Electronics College in Pireus where he specialised in Video Editing. Since 1995 he has worked for most Athens-based television channels. In 2001 he joined Mega Channel and from September 2003 he has worked for the "War Zone" documentary series. |

Born in Bucharest, he has a degree in Sound Technologies. He started working as an editor in 1993 for the Greek Channel 5 and as Broadcast Techniques Specialist for the cable TV channel Filmnet. In 1996 he worked as video editor for Mad Channel and later for Antenna TV until 1999, when he moved to Mega Channel. He is credited with a number of news interest television programs. As of September 2006 he is working for the needs of “War Zone” documentaries. |

YIORGOS MAGOULAS |

Born in Athens, he studied guitar and musical orchestration in Athens and London. In 1991 he began his career by writing music for “Dimitris Potamitis” theatre group. Three years later his first recording was released under the title “Gaia”. To date his has written music for orchestras, the theatre, documentaries and television adverts. In 2000 his musical creation PROPITIATION was performed in London. Since March 2007, he is the composer of the soundtracks for War Zone’s documentaries.

Born in Athens, Konstantinos Bekas studied Graphics & Web Design at the University of Middlessex, London. He continued his studies at the Greek Centre for Computing Studies. In 2000 he joined Mega and as from 2005 he has been developing and designing War Zone’s web site. |

DIMITRA CHRONA |

She was born in Athens. She has studied Fine Arts and Graphic Design at Rochester Institute of Technology. Since 1994 she has worked in the U.S.A. and then in Athens as a graphic designer and art director for design firms and ad agencies. She opened her own design office, Schema Design, in 2000 where she has been mostly involved in print communication and interactive media while always experimenting with different mediums. www.schema.gr |
