Sotiris Danezis is the creator of the "War Zone" documentary series on Mega TV, the leading TV network in Greece. A war correspondent and photographer, he has been filming news and current affairs documentaries, since 2003, highlighting the stories of people in crisis and the contemporary issues of the world we live in.
He has travelled to many hotspots of the world and to more than 60 countries, from North Korea, Myanmar, Nepal, Vietnam, Cambodia, Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan, to Somalia, Sierra Leone, D.R. Congo, El Salvador, Colombia and Alaska State, the Amazon River, and the Sahara Desert.
The last four years his documentaries were selected for the official program of the Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival, which, in 2008, presented a special tribute to his work.
In 2007 he participated at the Athens Film Festival with the environmental documentary "Oogruk Means Oil", filmed in Alaska. Last year was his first time in FIPA with the selection of "Kanun - The Law of Honor and Blood".
He has received the "Athanasios Botsis", the highest journalistic award in Greece, the "Best Reported Story" in the Greek Television Awards and numerous special honors from the Athens Journalists’ Union, as well as the municipalities of Athens and Thessaloniki, Medecins du Monde, associations and organizations all over Greece.
In February 2009, the Cycladic Art Museum, in Athens, held his photography exhibition, entitled "A Complex World", showcasing more than 180 of his photographs from all over the planet. A year before that, he had held his first photo exhibition "One Second of Silence", at the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography.
Dimitris was born in Athens in 1968. From 1986 to 1989 he studied film directing at the Stavrakos Film School in Athens. From 1991 to 1994 he worked on telefilms and television series as assistant soundman, production assistant and assistant director and from 1995 to 2006 as a director for the major independent networks (Alpha, Alter and Mega).
In September 2005 he began directing Mega Channel's "War Zone" documentary series.

Ioanna was born in Athens in 1983. She is a graduate student of the Faculty of Communications and Media Studies of the University of Athens, where she also completed her Postgraduate Studies in the field of Political Communication and New Technologies.
She joined "War Zone" in 2008. From 2004 to 2008 she worked as a journalist for ERT's program "Reportage Without Frontiers".
In the past she has worked for Flash 96 radio, and has also done work as a producer at the Media WebRadio of the Faculty of Communications and Media Studies. She speaks English, Dutch, Italian and French.

Vasilis studied in the Department of Methodology of History and Theory of Science at the University of Athens.
He has conducted researches in gender issues and the women's position in politics, in fine arts' aisthetics, in methodology of writing, in ethics and law, in the theatre and movie industry, in the history of physical sciences and in the construction of electronic databases managing historical sources.
He joined War Zone in September 2010.
Danae Leivada was born in Athens. She has studied Mass Media and Communications at the University of Athens and has completed an M.A. in Legal and Political Theory at the University College of London. She speaks English and French. She has worked as a professional translator for various companies.
Anna studied Law at the University of Sorbonne in Paris and then she attended the School of Journalism CFJ in Paris. She speaks French, English and Spanish.
Aris was born in Athens in 1968. He studied at the "Eugenia Chatzikou" Cinematography School.
In 1992 he started working as a cameraman for REUTERS in Athens. In 1995 he began working as a private collaborator for MEGA’s News Department. In 2003 he participated at the EcoFestival with the short film "Yalova, a Stop in Their Journey".
From 1999 untill today he has worked with many production companies (Studio ΑΤΑ, ΕΝΑ Production, ON Production, Le spot) for many entertainment and news programmes. He has been working for War Zone since 2008.
Dimosthenis was born in Athens is 1972. He studied at the "Hatzikos School" in Athens. Between 1992 and 1994 he worked as a sound technician for Reuters, while from 1994 through to 1997 he began working as a cameraman for Mega Channel’s news department as well as for a number of the network's productions.
From 1997 onwards he has worked as a freelancer collaborating with Greek and international media covering news stories. He worked with the Japanese FUJI TV during the Athens 2004 Olympic Games and SAT1 during the 2006 winter Olympics in Turin. In May 2006 he became part of the "War Zone" team.
Born in Athens, Kostas studied at the FOCUS school of photography and worked as a photographer until 1991.
A cameraman for MEGA since 1992, he has worked for most productions of the channel and has covered the wars in Yugoslavia and Iraq, as well as issues like the Imia crisis, the Genoa demonstrations, the Palestinian Intifada. He has also worked for international networks like BBC WORLD, SKY ITALIA, and CNN TURK.
He has worked as a cameraman for War Zone for a total of 14 documentaries, covering stories on the Falklands’ War, Vietnam, Korea, Rwanda, Somalia, Hiroshima in Japan, the Beslan School Masacre in Osetia, etc.
His work for War Zone was honored with the Best Photography award at the "Prosopa 2004" awards, and was nominated again in 2005.
Kostas was born in Athens. He studied at the Electronics College in Pireus where he specialised in Video Editing. Since 1995 he has worked for most Athens-based television channels. In 2001 he joined Mega Channel and from September 2003 he has worked for the "War Zone" documentary series.
Born in Bucharest, he has a degree in Sound Technologies. He started working as an editor in 1993 for the Greek Channel 5 and as Broadcast Techniques Specialist for the cable TV channel Filmnet.
In 1996 he worked as video editor for Mad Channel and later for Antenna TV until 1999, when he moved to Mega Channel. He is credited with a number of news interest television programs. As of September 2006 he is working for the needs of "War Zone" documentaries.
Alexandros was born in Piraeus. He started working at the Alahouzos Brothers Cinema Workshop. He then spent three years working as an editor for the television stations Super Sport, Alter in Thessaloniki, and for the national television’s program "The Children of Niobe: the years in Greece".
Since April 2007 he has been working as an editor for MEGA’s main newscast. He joined "War Zone" in September 2008.
Music - Original Score
Yiorgos was born in Athens. He has studied guitar and musical orchestration in Athens and London.
In 1991 he began his career by writing music for "Dimitris Potamitis" theatre group. Three years later his first recording was released under the title "Gaia". To date he has written music for orchestras, the theatre, documentaries and television adverts. In 2000 his musical creation PROPITIATION was performed in London.

Dimitra was born in Athens. She has studied Fine Arts and Graphic Design at Rochester Institute of Technology. Since 1994 she has worked in the U.S.A. and then in Athens as a graphic designer and art director for design firms and ad agencies.
She opened her own design office, "Schema Design", in 2000 where she has been mostly involved in print communication and interactive media while always experimenting with different mediums. She has been collaborating with "War Zone" since 2006. www.schema.gr
